We Manage Properties. IADC owns three commercial buildings and three residential buildings all of which are leased under contracts with IAAL and residential tenants. IADC does property management services for the commercial and residential property that it owns as well as properties owned by the Ibero-American Action League, Inc. and its subsidiary housing corporations . IADC manages over 150,000 square feet of commercial and residential space. The property management division also provides services for properties under development by IADC prior to, during, and after the construction stage. These services include inspections, grounds maintenance and minor repairs.
We Teach Homebuyers' Education in Spanish. In 1997, IADC initiated “Huellas”, an educational program in Spanish to prepare first-time home buyers to purchase a home, using the structure and curriculum of a program called “Footprints” that had been developed for that purpose. The IADC “Huellas” program was then organized and presented by IADC staff to many individuals over the next three years. In 2000, the “Footprints” program ended and IADC assumed full financial responsibility for running its own program. In 2001, an IADC staff member was sent to NeighborWorks training to become certified as a housing counselor. This certification is required by banks to run accepted homebuyer education programs. The education program is ongoing and it is used to reach the Spanish-speaking population in our area.
